Aspirated nozzle holders are used in all normally aspirated applications and above the supercharger in blown applications. Below the supercharger always use the blank nozzle holders.

Nozzle holders are available in both brass and aluminum but I far prefer brass as it is a lot more robust than aluminum. I often find the aluminum nozzle holders will crack where the nozzle screws in or will gall the threads where it screws into the manifold. The weight savings for aluminum is insignificant versus the reliability of brass.

The thread on the nozzle holder where it screws into the manifold is 1/8"NPT. It is a taper thread which allows it to seal as it screwed in place. Always use sealant on the threads for two reasons. One to hold the nozzle holder in place and two to provide some lubricant to help prevent galling the threads when you remove the nozzle holder at a later date.
1/8"NPT is NOT 1/8"BSP. First the threads per inch is different by one thread and 1/8"BSP is not tapered.
In port nozzle applications select the nozzle holder that will just protrude through the port wall, the more it sticks in the port the more it will disturb the flow of air into the engine.


The nozzle holder threads into the manifold or hat providing a place
for the nozzle to attach to. Aerated holders have air bleed hole for normally aspirated
system and for hat nozzles on supercharged systems to improve the fuel atomization at
idle.

EZ Start valve

I have been using fuel injection since I purchased my first one in 1967. I have owned and used every brand of fuel injection made. Every brand of FI has the same problem which we have solved with the EZ Start valve. When I started using fuel injection in drag racing we were push starting the cars to a start like the sprint cars still do. The hard starting characteristic of fuel injection was no problem as the push start was not affected by the problem. Then on board starters became popular in the early 70's and were later mandated by the drag race sanctioning bodies.
With onboard starters simply priming the fuel system has become the normal way to start fuel injection cars unfortunately some fuel injection systems are hard to prime. Stack fuel injection requires a "drink" in each port stack just before starting the engine and some times it requires more than one "drink" to get the engine running normally.On hat type injection the problem is not as big but still there. Adding extra fuel with the start bottle or primer bottle to assist the engine until it get the fuel to the nozzles is easier because you can just squirt a bit on the throttle plate until the engine is running smoothly. Knowledgable crew are required for this job as them must know how much to add and when to start and stop the bottle.
The most important question is, why do you have to prime the fuel injection every time to start it? Why is it sometimes it wants more fuel than other times?
When you analyse the fuel system you see that the fuel pump picks up the fuel from the tank and pushes it up to the barrel valve and on to the nozzles. On non supercharged fuel systems when you shut the engine off with the ignition, the fuel is stopped at the nozzles as soon as the engine stops turning. The fuel system is ready to push the fuel out again as soon as the fuel pump is turned by the engine.
What happens while the engine is sitting awaiting a restart is; gravity acts on the fuel in the fuel system and attempts to pull the fuel back to the fuel tank. How quickly it pulls the fuel back to the tank is dependant on the fit of the spool in the barrel valve and the fit of the gears in the fuel pump. Eventually it will pull the fuel back to the tank. Even if you have the fuel shutoff valve closed some of the fuel will be drawn back into the tank just by the action of closing the valve.
The simplest most reliable solution to the problem is to install a LOWE Fuel System EZ Start valve in the line on top of the pump or if the fuel shut off is on top of the pump then install the EZ Start valve on top of the fuel shut off. Select the -6 or -8 depending upon your application.
After each race meeting the normal procedure is to clean the methanol out of the fuel system and Triflo all the lines and valves to prevent corrosion. Check the one way action of the EZ Start valve each time and spray the EZ Start valve with lube. At the start of each race because the fuel system is dry of fuel you will still have to prime the fuel system with the start bottle when you first warm the engine up.
With the EZ Start valve in you fuel system the normal starting procedures to crank the engine over with the butterflies closed until the engine starts. Opening the butterflies on a fuel injected engine while cranking to start the engine breaks the vacuum under the butterflies and thus stops the engine from assisting the fuel system from pulling the fuel into the ports with the manifold vacuum.
The EZ Start valve has a very low pressure opening point that does not restrict the fuel flow to the engine. Another feature of the EZ Start valve is the positive seal the valve has that prevents the drain back of the fuel to the fuel tank. Made from CNC machined billet aluminium and blue anodised for appearance and corrosion resistance. Comes with o-ring seal.

Mullins fuel blocks
A Mullins block has many configuration for many
applications. One application is to mount the block on the fuel shutoff as a collection
point for fuel returning to the fuel tank or the pump inlet nipple. Another is to mount
the block on top of the fuel shut off as a mount for fuel distribution or as a mount for
the jet adapters and poppets for high speed or pump sizers. This block also has mounting
holes in each corner so the block can be easily bulkhead mounted. The holes are 3/16"
size and you can use 3/16" mounting screws or tap the holes to 1/4 unc and use bolts
from the other side of the bulkhead CNC milled and drilled for accuracy and finish then
finish tapped and anodized for durability and looks. Blocks have -8 ports in the side and
bottom and a selection of -6 or -8 ports in the top. 35247-09086 jet holder will screw
directly into any of the ports and a 35562 60000 AN-6 pressure poppet (specify
pressure-last four digits) will screw directly into the jet holder. The Mullins block is
named after the customer who first requested that we make it for him.

Pinch
valve 
Lowe Fuel Systems have introduced a new pinch valve to allow the racer to add or remove
fuel to the engine while making a pass. A 12 volt control solenoid opens or closes the
valve as the racer desires adding or removing fuel from the system. This can be activated
by a timer, a gear change or with a push button. Often called a "lean out" valve
it is only a lean out valve if it opens and sends some fuel back to the fuel tank. If it
closes and stops some of the flow back to the tank then it is a "enrichment
valve". The valves are available as dual action (both normally open and normally
closed depending on how the unit is plumbed) or a single action as just a normally open or
closed. By adding the jet adapter you can adjust the amount of fuel you with to redirect.
The valve comes with a 1/4" NPT ports and flows a substantial 86% leak across the
valve opening. Valve comes with a mounting base so it can be bolted to a bracket if
desired. Valve in photo is equipped with the optional jet holder.

The front of the crankshaft on a supercharged engine takes a lot of strain from the pull of the belt turning the supercharger. On some applications it takes up to 800 horsepower to just turn the blower at full boost. The front of the crankshaft was never designed to take this type of side load and because of this side load it will cause the crankshaft to fail prematurely at the radii on the front of the first rod journal. On a supercharged engine it is not if the crank will fail it is when. If you back fire the engine for some reason and nothing happens except you just break the belt ask yourself what amount of energy did it take to break this belt and how did this energy manifest itself in the crankshaft. The belt broke because the engine kept turning when the supercharger stopped (or wanted to stop) because of a spike of excessive pressure in the manifold (from the backfire). What did it do to the front of the unsupported crankshaft ? What you did not realize is that although you do not see the damage you probably just cracked the crankshaft on the number one rod journal. Though it will still run (probably) the crankshaft just had over half of its normal life eliminated.. Now what did that cost ? A KLRC crank support will usually double the life of a crankshaft making the KLRC crank support on of the best investments you can make. If your crankshaft costs $2000.00 (or more) and lasts 40 runs before it cracks beyond safe use and you can get 70 or 80 runs with a KLRC crank support then the KLRC crank support should be worth $2000.00.(or more) JUST THE FIRST TIME THAT YOU USE IT.
The KLRC crank support attaches to the lower four bolt holes in the front of the engine block with studs. The crank support side plates slide on the studs and the front bearing plate goes on after the side plates. The crank spindle attaches to the center of the crankshaft and the bearing that rides in the front bearing plates goes on the end of the spindle. The KLRC crank support has adjustment built into the design to allow for differences in crank tunnel bore but once the adjustment is set you can disassemble and reassemble the engine without having to readjust the crank support. The KLRC crank support comes black anodized with a complete set of instructions to install the kit correctly. If you have a desire for a color other than black anodized please ask when you order. Most applications do not require a bearing housing. If you are using a KLRC fuel pump extension then the extension has a bearing in the end of it to support the fuel pump drive shaft at the pump end. CNC machined for accuracy and finish and then anodized for appearance and durability.

There are two ways to hold the ends of the cable housing. One is to use a clamp listed
below. Use either a full or a half clamp. The half clamp takes up less space and allows
the cable to be mounted closer to the mounting bracket. The other way to hold the end of
the cable housing is with a quick release clamp. These quick release clamps are very handy
when used around the engine and transmission as they allow the maintenance work on the
engine and trans to be done faster as they just unsnap from the clamp. Also the logical
choice here is to use the quick release ball joints as well. With the quick release ball
joints all you have to do is to pull the collar back and the joint releases from
the ball allowing a very fast release yet a very secure connection. See the cable threaded
