Adam Burgess
and Ben Brown
Car 65 (Serial number XD-065-0199)
226" KLRC dragster with a turbocharged rotary and a 5 speed clutchless trans.
Ready for deliver to Ben and Adam on 12 March 2000. The car was picked up 2 June 2000.
Their engine and trans had just arrived and they wanted to get the car to the Fast Fours
and Rotary's Jamboree the week after the Winternationals.
Ken Lowe Race Cars "XDE" chassis package. We weld up a car for you and you bolt
on industry standard spindles, rack, axles and brakes.
Click here for info on "XDE" packages.
Click here for info on other dragster packages.

Hand formed dragster body with "aero" bottom lip and lexan windscreen.
"Glass" nose is provided to allow easy repair or replacement should damage
occur. Often it does occur, mostly during loading or unloading the car.

The dragster is Adam and Ben's car, the altered is Grant and Michael
Harvey's car.

This is our XDE package. We supply the fabricated hardware and
you bolt the industry standard hardware on to the package. The XDE
is a complete chassis, body, interior, seat, diff housing, parachute mount and controls,
steering mounting and connections but not the rack or spindles which industry standard
products bolt straight on. Industry standard axles and brakes bolt directly on to the diff
housing. To see what the car looks like when it is finished have a look at the Drag Race School car as they are identical.

A few days after Adam and Ben picked the car up from KLRC they displayed the car at the
"Fast Fours and Rotaries" race at Willowbank Raceway. This race is run each year
one week after the Winternationals. For more info on Willowbank Raceway click here

I know it looks like a junior dragster but at 900HP of turbocharged power in a 900 pound
car with a 5 speed clutchless trans this is NOT a junior dragster!!
More photos of Adam and Ben's car. It is back at our shop getting clutch linkage and
brake lever and master cylinder mounted. Should be going soon.

1 March 2001 - just about ready to go.... Adam reckons 2 months to go!!

Rotary with turbo and stainless pipes and wastegate. Gforce air shifted 5 speed clutchless
transmission connects the engine to the diff.

Intake pipe to the manifold is not installed yet.

It doesn't get lighter and faster than this!!! To give you an idea of the weight of the
car the engine weights less than the trans and bellhousing. Five of us can pick up the
complete car.

Just for your information if you removed the engine and trans from this car the rolling
chassis complete would weigh less than 425 pounds - 193 kilos!!!!

Front of the car where the fuel tank, fuel pumps, nitrous bottle and EFI controls are.
