Class BB/A
KLRC car 48

Grant, Sandra and Michael have this great 125" wheelbase altered. This photo was
taken in January 2000. The chassis was built in 1996 for a customer that changed his mind.
Grant purchased the bare chassis from Ken in 1998 and took it to Adelaide for finishing.
After a year and a bit Grant brought the car back to us for finishing. The car is
actualy just past this stage of the photos and is being picked up ready to bolt an engine
in on 18 March 2000. Grant says he should have it going by the Winternationals this year.
New photos and finish photos will be available soon. The body, nose and wing are
customer supplied and fitted by KLRC. If you want to see a KLRC body mounted on a car

Note the dual pattern engine plate drilled for both a Chevy and a Chrysler. The front
engine smounts shown are for thier current small block Chevy out of the Valiant
Doorslammer.

Lift off nose give access to the fuel tank, battery box and the data logger.

Air bottle mount is in the middle just behind the nose. Notice the 1 1/4" fuel line.

Here is our standard narrowed turtle deck with a dual parachute conversion plate.

Annodizing done and final fitting of all the hardware. Body is still in primer and yet to
be painted. Paint photos will arrive soon.

It is now March 2001 and these photos are taken a few weeks ago. Sandra (Michael's mother)
attended the Drag Race School last week and did a great job of driving the School car.

Sure looks like he knows what he is doing.

Michael ready for launch on his maden pass in his new car at Adelaide Raceway in South
Australia. On a "soft" tuneup he ran 7.40 straight as a string.

If you want to see a lot more of this car click here. It will
take a while to load as there are a lot of pictures.
