Ken Lowe car 21 my first 23 T (Previous car here)
Click here for my car before the Altered
Up to this point I had a lot of cars. All of them were street or street/strip cars that
I raced and drove to school. This was the second car we built. The first car we sold was
one we were building for ourselves and a friend asked if we could build him one just like
it so we sold it to him and started over.

Was I ever this young? It was the summer of 1967 and we all remember the songs that were
on the radio at the time. The car represented every cent Tom Richardson (my partner) and I
could scrape together (and then some!).

Tom and I raced this car from the time we finished it until May 1967 when I was drafted
into the US Army. We each took a pile of parts off the car and sold what was left. If you
look at my next car here you will see the same fuel injection and
magneto. I have kept the fuel tank and it now sits in my Nostalgia section of my office at
the race car shop.

See the lawn mower throttle cable used as a fuel shutoff lever.

The remote oil filter was because we screwed up and made the chassis too narrow!!! Whoops

Sun Tach, Hilborn Injection, Vertex Mag, Moon throttle control, Ansen bellhousing .... all
the trick stuff in 1967. Note the kill switch on the brake lever.

Picture of the chassis with the body off the car.
