Blower crank hubs (item 3) -----------------
The KEN LOWE RACE CARS supercharger crankshaft hub is made to be compatible with all standard blower pulleys. We manufacture the hub with the offset bolt hole to make it easier to bolt any standard pulley on the hub. The KEN LOWE RACE CARS supercharger crankshaft drive hub is made from high quality 4140 steel. We have designed this hub to be as strong as possible to solve the galling and key way problems found in other hubs. The keyway has been cut to a proper depth in this hub. When you install the KEN LOWE RACE CARS supercharger drive hub you will find that it is a snug fit as we hone the bore of the hub to -.0005 for a snug fit. The timing of the ignition can be aided with the use of the KEN LOWE RACE CARS timing ring. This ring comes with out a TDC timing mark as most supercharged engines have some sort of fabricated timing pointer which doesn't align with the factory position. After you install the timing ring find the top dead center of number one cylinder as if you were going to degree the camshaft. Now mark the timing ring to indicate your top dead center of number one cylinder. Additional marks can be made at 90, 180, and 270 degrees to aid in setting the valve lash by indicating ever 90 degrees of crankshaft rotation. Also marking the timing ring around the area where the timing will be set should be done as well.

Pulleys (item 2) ------------------------------------------------------------------------
KLRC only offers belts and pulleys in 8mm. The reasons are that if you follow the trends over the last 10 years you see how the 14mm and the 13.9 mm evolved. The amount of horsepower to drive at conventional 14-17 at Top Alcohol overdrives required the use of heavier drives like the 14 and the 13.9 The new design blowers (screw and helix) now use considerably less horsepower to drive them and do not need the heavier belts. Today in many classes we have overdrive limitation imposed and everybody runs the maximum allowed overdrive. You can get closer to the maximum overdrive with the fine tooth of a 8mm drive so many racers are going back to the 8mm drive for this reason. We run a 8mm overdrive on our Top Alcohol dragster and have never had any problems even though we run the maximum overdrive and make the gear changes at over 10,000 rpm's. Another reason for using the 8mm is there is a greater selection of belts lengths available.

Although not a perfect blower manifold like a custom built sheetmetal manifold would be this is a very good alternative to the normal low rise production cast blower manifold available that have the normal design flaws associated with low rise manifolds. We can modify your Victor Ram to suit the blower you are going to use or supply you with the manifold as well. Give us a call and we will work something out to help you with your manifold.
